Ulf Österroos to strengthen NGR Group’s trading and material flows

NGR Group is strengthening its expertise in recycling, material handling, and sustainable material flows by recruiting Ulf Österroos. With a long entrepreneurial background and more than 15 years of international experience in the recycling and machinery sectors, Österroos is stepping into a new role where he will be responsible for NGR Trading.

Österroos, who lives in Moikipää in Korsnäs, has spent the past 15 years working as Sales Manager at the Dutch company CBI Europe. In that role, he was responsible for the sales of equipment for processing combustible materials across the Scandinavian market.

He has now decided to scale back his international career—but not to stop working altogether.

– I felt that I still wanted to make use of my experience and expertise, and together with NGR we found an interesting solution, says Österroos.

In his new role, he will oversee NGR Trading activities, focusing on the buying and selling of recycled and combustible materials as well as the development of efficient material flows between different stakeholders across the Nordic region.

His interest in recycling and smart material solutions has grown stronger over the years.

– I’ve become increasingly enthusiastic about material trading. Material flows crisscross Scandinavia, and many companies are running overlapping routes. There is significant potential for savings if sensible solutions can be found. Recycling is something I care deeply about, he explains.

Thanks to his extensive network and long experience, both Österroos and NGR see strong opportunities ahead.

– I believe I have a lot to contribute to the development of trading. I’ve built a strong network of stakeholders across the Nordic countries, and we see good potential to develop this into something truly effective, Österroos concludes.
